Cedar Shade Cottage Ensuite Private Annexe with Parking

The property was well situated for us to walk into Sidmouth for evening meals, etc. It was comfortably furnished. The continental breakfast was very good.

We found the double bed too small (4ft 6ins?), We prefer a 5ft bed.

The breakfast was excellent and the facilities fine. Ruth was very helpful and obliging.

For two people, it felt slightly cramped for the price. And I think the name "cottage" suggested to us something relatively detached and rural, rather than a basement flat in a tight corner. The chief problem was the parking: it was not easy to get in and out round a sharp corner, and I unfortunately damaged the car manoeuvring.

LOCATION

Advertised as a PRIVATE annex , however it has not been soundproofed at all and you can hear every word the family say to each other....No TV in room to drown this out. Washing machine for family must be against the wall as we could hear it working. We decided we could not stay so we booked a hotel and left within an hour.

Great location for us only 10 minute walk from my parents who were visiting. Easy access to the town, car parking space was fine, no concerns. Shower with heated floor was perfect! Breakfast area and having breakfast everyday was great and totally unexpected. Sleeping area was fine could benefit from a slightly bigger bed but that’s just personal preference. Great that we could be there at Christmas as lots of places were really expensive or were not letting people come for a few days at Christmas so this worked out perfectly.

Need’s a light in the alley way to the door of the property as it quite dark at night but that was it. Everything else was fine.

It was in a great location, just a short walk from the town centre. The room was cosy and the space had been used really well. The continental breakfast provided was very good with fresh, good quality produce.

It was perfect for us. There was no tv in the room but the wifi was excellent and the room had a dab radio.

evrything you need. and the hosts were very helpful. deffinately will be staying here again.

Everything was just perfect for our brief family visit.

Hanging rails were extremely high up but I understood why. Unfortunately, we are both short so couldn’t use but this wasn’t an issue as only a 1 night stay.

Goed bed en ontbijtaanbod divers. Fijne douche.

Erg gehorig, kamer grenst aan woonkamer eigenaren. Druk gezin, je hoort alles. Bij douchen loopt badkamer vol water. Armoedig entree, uitzicht op schutting met afvalemmers.
