Spacious Holiday Home in Cumbria

A very clean, comfortable holiday home with plenty of space, homely feel, and well-equipped kitchen. Good location for the western lakes and coast.

Parking wasn't always very convenient.

The cottage was very spacious and clean and well placed to explore the area - the brewery at the end of the road that served excellent food was an absolute bonus

There is only room in the lounge for 4 people to sit which wasn't an issue for us but would be if the cottage was at capacity. Parking was challenging but not impossible

It was lovely, spacious, well-equipped and nicely decorated. The top floor was also particularly appreciated by my daughter as a quiet and cosy space. The dog especially liked the provision of bowls!! It's also in a good location for access to the Western Lakes, the Cumbrian coast and Carlisle. Keswick is also within a reasonable distance in a car. Great value for money.

The corridor entrance was unexpected and a little disappointing as a first impression. However, the main house made up for this. Parking was a bit tricky when we got back in the evenings, but we managed to find somewhere around the corner. The kitchen was a little chilly - probably since the thermostat is in the main lounge. The patio garden could do with a little TLC and the dog would have loved some grass, though it was sunny and secure.

The house was nicely furnished, filled with personality, and felt very cosy, homely and comfortable. It was very spacious and more than adequate for our family. The communication with the host was great, entry to the property was easy. Really good value for money.

The car parking situation was slightly inconvenient, as a bay in front of the house wasn't always available, as it is a residential street and parking was limited. The safety railing means you can't park too close to the kerb as it makes getting in and out of the car difficult.

Not alot to do in the village 😒 the local pub was closed.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Lovely decor and loads of space for my family. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and equipment and we loved the layout.

Parking was a bit of a pain because the weather was so bad and it would of been good if there was a shop or pub within walking distance. We found a lovely place called the countryman with great food, dog friendly and nice staff.
