New Great Shanghai Female Hostel

The place was quiet during my stay and it felt clean and nice. My bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep. Outlets were right next to me, so I can conveniently charge my devices, especially, I was assigned at the top bunk bed. Jean was very helpful and accommodating! She helped me get to the hostel from the airport and even recommended some shops I could visit. Communication was great between the host and guest!

The AC usage is on schedule and there’s only 1 stand fan. It gets too hot during the day. However, if you plan to stay out most of the time, it should be okay. Otherwise, be prepared with a mini fan to help you cool down.

Good value for money. Friendly and helpful owner and good atmosphere. Water filter in the kitchen. Location really nice and easy to walk around. Close to the free CAT bus.

Room was a bit hot, because ac was not in use all the time. That was ok, because you are exploring the city.

I had a little issue when checkin in, there is usually nobody working at the checkin desk, I suppose the hostel is pretty new. So they checked me through the phone which I only could have done bc I got Wi-Fi from a hostel nearby, not sure what I’d do otherwise. Also first night I didn’t have a card, only got it once the lady came back in the morning next day. But after this was settled I had a great stay. The vibes are so cozy !!

The location is excellent. Close to everything vital and the place is nice. Everybody I met was super nice and gentle
