Vang Vieng Global Hostel

Best location I've stayed in Asia. The staff are amazing, can't do enough for you, always on hand with recommendations for food/tours etc. Everything in the accommodation is spotless. Location wise it is in the middle of Vang Vieng but I had no issues with noise from any of the bars nearby. Great value for money, even tours booked through the reception were good value. Can't recommend enough!!!

Excellent stay made memorable by Anna and Peter the hosts. The hostel rooms are basic it's nothing luxurious but don't let that put you off staying here. Anna took time to get to know us and recommended a personalised itinerary. She recommends different things to each guest depending on their preferences. Every day we returned Peter and Anna were interested in what we got up to. They also arranged our train onwards to Luang Prabang. Simple breakfast such as fried eggs or french toast included in the price. Bed was comfortable, shower was warm and we had a nice table and chairs outside our room. Recommend eating at happy mango!

Something to be aware of is the loud nightclub nearby playing loud music until around midnight. This didn't bother us as we just popped earplugs in but important to note.

The absolute best place to stay in Vang Vieng. Anna was the best host ever. We loved her.

Amazing lady called Anna working on the desk here, she was super kind and helpful throughout our stay She is one of the best things about this place along with the great rooms.

We’d like to give it 8.5 as breakfast and terrible wifi lets this place down from being a 10. *also not an issue as such but make sure you pay by dollars if not using cash as the exchange rate to KIP is bad ( we paid $10 more because we tried to use local currency) but overall cost paid is still worth staying here!!

- Anna the host was soo friendly and really helpful! We booked everything with her. - location is in the middle of the center, everything is in walking distance - mororbike rental possible

- a lot of ants in the room and we also had a cockroach in the room - cleanliness could be improved

Very dirty and noisy room

Anna was an amazing host and helped us plan our stay perfectly. Often sorting out Tuk Tuks and activities very last minute, including a hot air balloon ride with Above Laos which was spectacular. The room was spacious and clean with a good shower and comfortable beds.

Host Anna was awesome,.She will go above and beyond to help guests with whatever they need!

Breakfast bread didn't come with butter. I would of liked butter with it. I probably should of asked for butter tho.

Anna is by far the most amazing host I’ve come across anywhere in south east Asia. She is incredibly friendly and helpful and welcomes everyone with a big smile. Everything from tour’s, train tickets & laundry can be done here all at a reasonable price. Thank you Anna for making my stay in Vang Vieng. The room is also really spacious and lovely view of the surrounding mountains from the balcony. Nice breakfast too. Friendly people of all ages at the hostel and definitely not a party place.

Being centrally located there is a bit of noise from bars but it stops at midnight.
