Quiet location in beautiful countryside. Historic surroundings.

Steps down to bathroom facilities and stairs up to breakfast facilities. Would not recommend for those with mobility challenges. No blinds in bedroom.

Location, staff and cafe

Shared facilities and no tv - we were told that we were the only room using the facilities on our floor - this wasn’t the case as we heard each toilet and shower visit all night and in much detail - probably a good stay if your part of a large group but not for a couple - so glad there wasn’t a group in the dormitory

The fact we waant warned that they don't use cash , as most n the group withdrew cash to use .

Beautiful location, charming room and accessories, lots of room to park, electric charging on site, very welcoming staff.

The main issue was the room had damp. It stank of mould. Putting your head down to sleep on a smelly set of pillows is pretty grim. The WIFI was pretty bad, barely any signal and pretty slow. I had no phone service in the room either, plus there's no room to work, i.e. no desk. Also, the driveway is single track. I scratched the side of my car forcing it into a layby to let an unhappy tractor driver pass. There seems to be room to widen the road, so I'd suggest that gets looked into as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful country house. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The grounds are absolutely beautiful—perfect for a relaxing stroll or just taking in the peaceful surroundings. The accommodation was clean and exactly what we wanted. We were also lucky to attend a fantastic event in the evening with a live band which added something really special to our visit. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning!

Nothing, everything was perfect :)

Garry and Karen could not have been more accommodating from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed and we will definitely be returning. The only down side was the shower not working but I’m sure this will be sorted. Despite this small issue this will not deter us returning. The location is so beautiful and tranquil and Garry and Karen want you to have an enjoyable experience and enjoy their beautiful garden and grounds. The barn is amazing and the food lovely. We will be back for sure. The cat Dave gave us a lovely friendly welcome too.

The shower not working but this did not cause us to be disappointed by our stay.

My Sunday brunch in the cafe was excellent.

The room - freezing, difficulty getting in and put of the bed, no wardrobes and inadequate bedding, shower too powerful and unsafe (no grabrails, mats etc. I have previous painful experience of slipping in a shower in Spain). No comfortable chair, I have osteoporosis.
