Lakeside Eco Pod

It’s remote a real pod experience . Very friendly owners, sheep and lambs galore.

The double glazing in the door has failed so the view was obstructed by condensation and water but would be lovely if replaced. View on deck was obstructed by big bush which overhangs fire pit.

The location was amazing. Top of a hill by a lake and wood. Farm below with farm animals. We had an open fire in the evenings with wood from the farmer david.

The pod was basic. No light inside the toilet shed. But that added to the charm in a way basic no frills living.

Amazing place to stay. Amazing scenery

Would worth knowing water is limited. Also spare blanket for cold night could be available instead of asking for everything.

Totally wild , beautiful and unique. If you are after peace and getting back to nature this is for you .

This is an absolute gem of an escape, so peaceful and quiet just what the doctor ordered

Only thing I would like to see is some sort of washing facility

This was a great little find- a very clean, comfy and well-equipped pod with an amazing setting. The bed was super comfy, the outdoor furniture was an added plus and it was very peaceful and tranquil. The owner was so helpful and friendly and got the fire set up for us as well as lighting us the stove in the pod for added warmth. We had a lovely stay and hope to return.

We loved it all- we were well prepared with extra water etc knowing it was off grid. Maybe bring an extra charging pack as the usb chargers run off solar power and there wasn’t much power left after a grey weekend for us. None of this should put anyone off as it’s part of the charm!
