The only positive part of the experience was the food and younger wait staff in the pub. They were personable and attentive. When asked about area events they shared information about local activities.

This hotel is probably the worst I've ever stayed. -Check-in: we arrived and there is no lobby or reception to check-in. We had to enter into the pub and after asking the bartender where was the check-in desk, Will, the owner eventually came by and told us to wait for five minutes with an unwelcoming tone. Not a great first impression. We had to stand in the middle of the pub (with a large group of people hanging around the bar) and waited for almost 20 minutes. Will, the owner finally arrived with his computer, sat down and TOLD us to sit down for him to check us in. Our accommodations were in a renovated stable and not in the main house. This was not represented in the online site. The room: - Extremely small room to the point two people couldn't walk past each other in any area at the same time. - Two cots, NOT BEDS, one of them the center leg was broken and bent. VERY uncomfortable. NOT worth the rate. -NO BATHROOM DOOR!! Seriously!!! A curtain. So this equated to NO PRIVACY! The room was so small that one cot was up against the CURTAIN and you had to move the bed to get through the curtain. ABSOLUTELY unacceptable to not have a bathroom door. - NO ventilation, no windows to open, no fans (one sky light in the bathroom with no screen so when opened several bugs came in so we had to close it. I had requested a fan and Will saiid, 'Oh, nope. All are being used." He made no attempt to accommodate any ventilation and his overall attitude was so unprofessional. He has NO hotel industry professionalism. The owner! - No place to sit or put our luggage on. - Shower door had such an extremely narrow opening that guests had to squeeze in to get in. A heavy person would not have been able to use it. - The overall rating is an resounding, "O". We were booked for two nights but we left the facility early after the one night due to the unacceptable conditions. A HUGE WASTE OF MONEY! Accommodations were abysmal.

Location and ambience Could walk from Henley in 30minutes.

Expensive. Breakfast definitely overpriced.

This is just one of my favourite places to stay. Just wonderful—the staff are amazing and go above and beyond. Love it here and will always come back

Little coffee machine in room would be wonderful but otherwise perfect!

the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The accommodation was immaculate and had everything we needed. lovely location.

Great room in outhouse of hotel.

Loved the rooms and garden, bar and general ambiance, the manager was exceptional, very helpful as we were a wedding party ? However my friends rooms didn’t have fans in which was disappointing in the extreme heat . I feel with the cost of 1 night being quite expensive it should include breakfast?
