George's Cottage

Beautiful cosy cottage, fantastic location. Lovely welcome pack including wine and cake. Georgie,the host, was absolutely lovely. Just perfect.

Nothing it was all fabulous!

This cottage is a little slice of heaven! It's surrounded by beautiful countryside with amazing views. It has its own little garden where you can sit peacefully listening to the birds (of which there are many, which we loved). Georgie keeps the place spotless and left so many thoughtful gifts (a lovely homemade cake, wine and bread among many other lovely touches. The decor is lovely and the beds are super-comfortable. Would definitely book again.

The only downside was the road which could get quite busy at times, but we were able to block it out after a while and it took nothing from the experience.

An absolutely perfect cottage in a great position for the walking trails and beautiful views. The cottage itself has everything you could possibly want and Georgies generous welcome pack is the icing on the cake ! Everything speaks of quality and comfort, you won’t be disappointed!

The access Ito the cottage is up a fairly steep slope which could be a problem for the elderly or lass agile. For warned is for armed.

Beautiful old cottage but inside modernized by owner in very stylish way. We were so glad to cook, sleep and wash& dry our clothes after long walks in the Black and White Peaks.

Sugar, tea, coffee and welcome surprise made us feel home right away. Nicest cottage to come home after raining walking day, which we got many. Any question the owner lives at 2 min. walking and comes right away to help.

The cottage was cosy and beautifully furnished, and the garden was great to relax in the late afternoon sun. We were welcomed by a tasty homemade cake, bread, eggs, milk and a welcome card... thanks for such a wonderful stay!

Stunning property with high quality finishes. Lovely location within walking distance to nice pub and Ladybower reservoir. Fantastic welcome pack with delicious homemade cake. Host Georgie was fantastic, popped in to see us to check everything was ok. Highly recommend this property.

That we had to leave!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area: there's a view of Bamford Edge when you are sitting at the kitchen table and views of hills and trees with the Derwent snaking through them from the lounge and the main bedroom. The cottage was warm and cosy with comfy beds and a lovely Aga making the kitchen toasty. Georgie has thought of everything, making a lateish arrival easy with milk, tea etc and some lovely homemade surprises! We rarely go back to somewhere a second time but we will definitely be going back to George's Cottage!
