George's Cottage

The cottage was very comfortable, cosy and clean. There was everything we needed during our stay. The welcome gifts were just lovely, and so were the Christmas decorations. All the details such as bathrobes, slippers, blankets and toiletries supplied were charming. The aga range cooker blew my mind. As soon as we walked in, we felt a homely atmosphere espectaly when we lit the fireplace. Even though the weather wasn't good, we had a fantastic time.

Wonderful cottage and Georgie, the host, was super helpful. We’ll be back.

Only issue was that the location of the property that booking.com have isn’t completely accurate

The cottage was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The cottage had everything we needed and the toiletries supplied were absolutely lovely. There was a homemade cake and marmalade in our welcome pack, alongside bread, milk and wine. The location was great for local walks, including Bamford Edge and Lady Bower Reservoir. A really lovely cottage in a lovely area!

This property was perfect for us. Everything you could need had been thought of here, even cosy blankets and a bed for the dog! Arriving to home made cake was something else.. The property has beautiful views to the front and you can see bamford edge (on a clear day) from the kitchen. For walking the location was fabulous and with a bus stop outside you could get further afield on public transport if you needed. There is a washing machine in the property which was a real bonus for us after some muddy walks, and the pub is also just a short walk away.

Nothing really although the steps are quite steep for anyone with mobility issues.

Very high standard of accommodation. Everything that you needed was in the cottage, really comfortable beds and high standard linen. All the equipment was very good and the aga was an added bonus. We really liked the bathrobes and slippers in the rooms and the welcome pack, which consisted of a homemade cake, bottle of wine, and treats for our dog. It really was a lovely stay and although the cottage was a little way out of the village it was close to a very good pub and all the walks were from the house so no car was needed.

Just the garden. It was a shared access, so not all of it secured for our dog, although once you had passed the shared path, they did have a fence off small garden .

Really well decorated with all the amenities you could want, a lovely garden outside and great views. The welcome and goodies were especially welcome! It’s also a short walk to the pub and close to great walks.
