The Nook

The place was very comfortable and pleasant. The location was great if you had a car, close to multiple types of locations: beach/water (Warrenpoint), Forest, and Mourne Mountains.

Wifi was patchy and could have been better, particularly interacting with VPN! Other than that, not much negatives.

Comfortable and cosy with everything we could need provided. We stayed during a heatwave and Hugh had set a fan up for our arrival, which helped keep the space cool, and was very thoughtful. Our dog felt at home straightaway, the location is ideal, only a short walk to the Fairy Glen and Rostrevor town, there was a shop at top of the street for anything we needed, and the hosts were lovely and helpful.

The wifi signal was a bit slow and patchy. There was no sponge for cleaning dishes but we made do with a microfibre cloth.

Hugh was a lovely host and very accommodating. His "Nook" is just fabulous. It's very clean with a very comfortable bed and just about everything you could need for a break away. The location is so picturesque, we were sad to leave back to our home city. We will be using this property again next year on our annual trip to Ireland.

Me and my husband stayed for one night and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location was perfect, and the place was absolutely amazing, beautiful—spotless and incredibly comfortable. Hugh was an outstanding host, so friendly and welcoming. I’d 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

We had an outstanding 3 night stay at The Nook, which had everything we could have wished for. Impeccably clean and so comfortable; spacious yet cosy; fantastic facilities and all decor finished to a very high end spec. The Nook lies within a quiet, private location in Rostrevor and a literal stone’s throw to some fabulous woodland walks and the enticing Fairy Glen. A short walk takes you into the centre of Rostrevor and its pubs, eateries and convenience stores, whilst the town itself lies on the stunning Mourne Coastal Route. Our host Hugh was an absolute gentleman, and our little collie Juno thoroughly agreed! Some super suggestions for walks and where to eat, and all first class. We had such a relaxing break and we really could not have asked for more!
