This a rustic cottage in Bredasdorp is nestled amid the tranquil embrace of #nature. This is an absolute gem for anyone who enjoys ornithology, as we were surrounded with various bird species and got to witness an abundance of fish eagles hunting for prey. The accomodation is well equipped with everything you need, and they supplied enough wood for the whole weekend.

There’s quite a lot of mosquitos so you should remember to bring insect repellent. Also the Kolkol’s water could’ve been a bit cleaner. But overall this place is great value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. There’s just a gravel road, which I think would be fine for low clearance vehicles. However, there’s quite a hill before the house that could be driven with a all wheel drive high clearance vehicle, or a 2x4 bakkie would also manage. You could stop on top of the hill that was recommended by the owners but having a lot of baggage, it’s a lot of effort walking up and down the whole time.

Corlene, the owner was absolutely amazing and attentive to our needs, making our stay very comfortable. More than sufficient wood was provided, and we even got help with someone on a tractor to pull our car out from where it got stuck due to the heavy rains. We had a fantastic relaxing time. Cannot wait to book there again!

The tranquility, and beautiful view, hot tub and the fact that it's off the grid! Well equipped.

Struggled to get the hot tub going (but learned quickly out of our mistakes).

The location and the fact that no one was around... peaceful and relaxing.

We could not get the hot tub to fire....wood was too wet, we tried the whole day but to no avail...that was a bit disappointing.

Secluded, clean, fully equipped, great value for money, great wood fired hot tub and a beautiful view of a private lake/vlei. Lovely peaceful weekend getaway. Would definitely be back and recommend for a weekend getaway.
