Star Eyes

Star Eyes Hostel is an amazing budget hostel located in Weligama (close to jungle beach). And even though is rather social, the dorms are very quiet so it's easy to rest properly! The owner is such a friendly and welcoming man. He is working so hard the entire day but always with a smile on his face. Apart from that, the facilities are always clean and they provide some good food as well. I tried the grilled tuna fish with bolied vegetables and it was great! In short, my experience in this hostel was 10 put of 10. I do absolutely recommend it!

Amazing people, great quiet location I’d you want to be near but away from the bustle of welligama and closer to midigama. Ishan is such a lovely host and his place is so clean and full of good vibes!

We had a lovely stay. The owner and his father were great hosts, both kind and helpful. The food on-site was great, and the hostel is close to a nice beach area. We also walked to the centre, which took about 20 min, and was a nice walk alongside the coastline. We had a private room, which met all our needs. You need to leave the room to enter the bathroom, which was sometimes also used by others, but is was not a major problem for us. Would absolutely recommend to stay here.

A father and son duo running the hostel, they were very helpful and genuine. A small walk to the beach and further along Weligama town. A very clean and tidy hostel, realively new business, still a learning curve, best of luck.

I had a double room just off the main kitchen area, sometimes noisy, the shower is also next to the kitchen. No hot water, freezing, it certainly wates you up. One of the lights in the room needs an electrician to fix it.

Star Eyes Hostel is quite new and the owner is very nice and wants you to feel comfortable. Even tough the private room is not a real room but divided with a curtain from the corridor I felt safe and cozy there.

Super new and nice place. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was very clean and overall it felt very comfortable so I got a very good rest. Great value for money.

The inside of the bathroom could use a rag or towel because it was quite slippery after a shower.

This is a very beautiful small family hostal with the nicest hosts, the best breakfast , coffee, 1st class western style cappuccino,, we haven't found any better in Weligama , yet. The Hostal has a huge dermed and one room with a double bed. It gave us our perfect start for our first Sri Lanka adventure..

It's a quite nice and new place. The staff was very kind and friendly. The dorm and the wifi was ok. They have a bathtub in the shared bathroom which was very surprising to see in Sri Lanka hostels.

The room is small and have no lockers. So you need to trust your roommates. They had cold water only in the shower which was not a problem for me. The location is a little bit far from Weligama city center, but there is a very close bus stop. You can take a bus to city center (30 rupee, 10 cent).
