Two Ways - Edge of Peak District near Matlock

The cottage was clean and warm with lots of facilities but lacked 1 thing, after out exploring the district it would have been nice to have curled up in bed with a film on the tv had there been one upstairs.

The location was a bit rural, The hosts were very keen on making sure we knew we had to leave by 10am on checkout day with constant emails and texts to almost rush us away. I think the £50 cleaning charge was very unjustified for the amout of cleaning they needed to do after our check out. The photos attatched are from when we checked out so £50 was easy money for the cleaners... I also think 7 to 10 days is along time to have to wait for our £100 deposit back.

Parking isn’t ideal but possible I have a long wheel base van and just got in

Day of arrival , check in and out info which is great , day two more check out information, day three 8am another text about being out by 10am , I know what time check out is , I don’t need reminding multiple times during my stay.

The cottage was immaculate and beautifully decorated with enough room for a family of four. The welcome basket and milk already in the fridge was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit in the sunshine and enjoy a nice cream scone and drink. The lounge had comfortable seating for us all to be able to sit and relax and enjoy a movie in the evening along with the goodies from the welcome hamper.

An extra touch which I personally would have found useful would be the addiotion of a full length mirror near to a socket and a small table to use when drying my hair. A comfortable chair was already in the bedroom so a small dressing table area would have been a bonus. The bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable.

It was very clean and comfortable. Set in a pretty lane. Well equipped with lots of those small items that make a huge difference - milk in fridge , washing up stuff etc but best of all a lovely welcome basket for humans and dog ! Good communication from the management company

The property is beautifully decorated and presented. Well stocked equipment in the cupboards for cooking. A thoughtful touch was the hamper, which included bits for the children and another small hamper was left for the dog!

Only downside was we had to leave too soon.

Beautiful, spacious and clean, a home from home. All essentials and more! provided for a exceptionally comfortable stay. Peaceful surroundings and garden area. Close to all Matlock hot spots, mostly within a ten minute drive. Fantastic, friendly hosts and clear instructions for all amenities and arrival/departure. Secure parking area. Very dog friendly.

The little hampers were a really lovely surprise and the decor was great. So quiet! And a super comfy bed.

With it being a dog friendly place it would be ideal if there were a gate just to give peace of mind when coming in and out of the front door.

Immaculate on arrival, Well appointed and well equipped. Fantastic welcome basket, much appreciated . Brilliant location for Peak Rail Steam Railway and Tramway museum, Matlock Bath and Chesterfield. Plenty dog walks on the doorstep

Only point if you're bringing a dog the outside space is not enclosed, maybe the addition of a gate could be considered.
