The resort was nicely located on the river, the rooms were cozy with river view

The hotel is very old and needs maintenance. Also, the construction is extremely fragile with bamboo walls and straw roof. When we were there in July a sudden 10 min storm and rainfall hit us, which tore the hotel apart in separate pieces (huts, reception area and restaurant got separated) and it was no loger possible to walk around on the walk ways. The roof on one of the huts almost flew away, the doors and windows blew open and everything in the room got soaking wet. We were sailed back into land and found another hotel since this felt insecure.

"Wonderful place with nice people but bad service."

7.0

Wonderful place. Very quiet and peaceful

No sweet things for breakfast, very expensive price for dinner with not very good food. Bad coffee, bad tea... long long wait in restaurant. For 68$ a night, it's not okay.

"Ummmmm"

5.0

I liked the location and the view.

I didn't like the mattress as it was a bit tough. I'm not a side sleeper, and got some lower back aches after the first night. The room wasn't well-maintained. You can see some spider webs and dust all around. Some lightbulbs were out. There are stains on the bathrobe, bed sheets, and pillow cases. It was super windy during our second night stay and I could hear the wind strongly and was afraid our floating house would fly away with the wind. Luckily, it didn't. I didn't feel safe. I requested a "Happy Birthday" text on the bed and also sent a direct message 3 times to remind the property, though agreed, there was no happy birthday text on the bed.

"Gorgeous location but needs a bit more organisation"

8.0

You can't fault the location, it is stunning. The floating villas/rooms are also just gorgeous and surprisingly bug free barring a few intrepid ants. However be aware! The floating villas make up the main part of the resort with reception and bar/restaurant. There is a second part to the resort the riverside huts on stilts which are not accurately described on booking.com at all - more on that below. The staff that are there are friendly and try very hard to be helpful. The free use of kayaks is a great touch that we took firm advantage of. It's super peaceful, you watch some lovely sun rises and sunsets in a tranquil environment the floating rooms are beautifully made up. Overall I did really enjoy my stay here. But if they want to charge the prices they do they need to up their game on organisation and rehire some more staff with more fluent English/other languages.

Ok so, they seem to have majorly cut back on staff, especially staff that speak a good amount of English. The other staff left are doing their best but it is clearly a struggle that leads to room mix ups, food order mix ups and when it gets busy a big drop in the level of service. The deluxe riverside villas are ... Not they are still quite beautifully made up, but far more basic and definitely don't have private pools or hot tubs as described on booking.com. Unlike the floating villas they only have electricity available from 5pm to midnight and if the staff aren't around it isn't reliably turned on on time. They also are supposed to have at least one member of staff at the riverside location at all times but due to short staffing don't. This means guests can get stranded without food or a way to get back to the main resort and can literally be left in the dark. It does verge on dangerous as the huts are not the most accessible with rickety gappy stairs leading up to them. If something went wrong it could get very bad. I was fortunate to end up staying in floating villas despite having booked the Riverside accommodation (due to afore mentioned room mix ups) and that part was absolutely lovely. I was moved part way through my stay to a riverside location and in daylight that was fine but as soon as the sunset as a lone female traveller I did not feel safe, I was moved back to a floating villa within hours so the staff are responsive and accommodating! The restaurant is a little pricey and the bar isn't always fully stocked but it was acceptable.

"Peaceful but could clearly be improved 😔"

6.0

The location is amazing, super quiet, amazing view, peaceful, concept is very nice

Quality for value could clearly be improved: - staff does not speak English (or just a very little bit) which makes it complicated to order/ask for advice or just communicate in general - could be cleaner (sheets were not clean) - it looks like it used to be an amazing place a few years, but it’s now getting old and not properly maintained (which is a shame because with a little effort, it could really be amazing) - food is really expensive versus the quality - they sold us a half day trekking in the jungle (which was really 1:45 hour in the end) + a tour to see the “waterfall” -> not worth the price!!

"Pleasant"

6.0

The location: in nature with nice views. Very friendly staff.

We asked if there were a lot of tours in the jungle, in reality there is only 1 small tour of 3 hours and you can visit small natural ponds by kajak in the afternoon (same as in the tour). A lot of noise by boats early in the morning. If you can’t handle insects at night, this is not the place for you because ants on the terrace at night and because your hut is in the nature other animals can crawl into your room. Luckily you have a good mosquito net.
