Ella Jungle Rock

The location in the middle of the jungle is amazing. From the hut you have the most beautiful view at the waterfall and a train bridge. If you don't want to stay in the crowded and noisy Ella town, this is perfect. The owner takes you on a fantastic hike to Ella Rock and the waterfall. This place was, by far, my best place to stay in Sri Lanka. The food was delicious and the owners very, very kind. The hut is spacious, good bed, big bathroom. Sleeping with the sound of the waterfall is so relaxing.

My stay at Jungle Rock was one of the highlights of my 1 month Sri Lanka trip. I stayed with a very kind Sri Lankan family who I became good friends with in only a short time. The simple yet comfortable cabin has beautiful views of the garden and a big waterfall in the distance, you can fall asleep to the sound of rushing water. The farm is well located for seeing Ella rock, nearby caves and just a short tuk tuk ride into town / railway station. The food was also some of the best I tried in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend this place for an authentic Sri Lankan experience!

Amazing Location, Delicious food and helpful host and family. the Host, Manju is a real guide, I visited Ella rock and Rawana cave temple with him. he knows the nice hidden foot path though the jungle and beautiful viewpoints. the waterfall is just a few steps from the lodge. will definitely come next year. Thank you !

Our stay here was truly unforgettable. The location is breathtaking—perched on the peaceful Ella Rock, away from the busy, tourist-filled streets of Ella. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers and fresh vegetables. It's also right next to a waterfall where you can climb, swim, or simply meditate. The views are absolutely stunning—nature at its best! The family who built this house recently are the kindest people we’ve ever met. They were incredibly welcoming, cooked the most delicious meals, and made us feel right at home. They live just next door, so we got to experience the warmth of a homestay while still enjoying plenty of private space to relax. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with amazing views and genuine Sri Lankan hospitality, this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend!
