Exmoor retreat on Two Moors Way

A lovely room - more like a small apartment - in a perfect location in a quiet Exmoor village. We had a warm and friendly welcome from Mop, a very comfy bed, and a spotlessly clean room and bathroom, along with an excellent cooked breakfast!

Was going to give 9 out of 10, then realised I couldn't think of any reason not to give 10. Hostess on arrival was friendly and welcoming, giving clear information. (She had texted the previous day to check arrival time - useful when I was worrying every evening if I'd booked the right date for the right accommodation!) Room clean, comfortable and well-equipped - with kitchenette and shower room, so a mini-apartment. Good wifi, Sky tv worked well. Breakfast was the best of our seven-day walk across Devon and Somerset; beautifully cooked, generous portions. And we were given an unexpected packet of sandwiches for our onward walk. Thoroughly recommended.

Nothing. Note that mobile signal in the area is very poor, so the Wifi was vital!

Mop (the owners name) is great. Very welcoming nothing is too much trouble. You get your own little area kitchen bathroom bedroom. The location is beautiful and very quiet.

I hate to sleep in a room with a clock tick tick and bloody tick I can't sleep but that's just me. I have a surjection to help visitors but also increase revenue. Because the local shop shuts at 5pm and there is nothing else for miles have an honesty box with a snack selection in it, in the kitchen somewhere. Cans of drinks crisps etc Kendal mint cakes for the walkers.

Everything was just excellent, felt even better then home! We can’t thank enough to the lovely host Mop!

Short but pleasant stay in this comfortable room. Extremely well provided for - everything you could want and more, which is unusual for a place like this. Mop was a great host, very helpful and responsive to requests. And the cooked breakfast was ... legendary! The location is perfect, on the edge of the village with a nice pub a short stroll away and walks along the River Barle within 100yds of the front door

Nothing to dis-like. The bedroom is small (though it's got to be more than the 64 sq.ft quoted on the Booking.com website) but it's comfortable and, for the price we have no complaints.
