Exmoor retreat on Two Moors Way

Mole End far exceeded our expectations (and they were good already, due to the positive reviews!). Mop was so helpful and hospitable - without being obtrusive (an amazing skill!). The home cooked breakfasts were fabulous for both my carnivore husband and me (a vegetarian). The three rooms (longe-bedroom; kitchen; and shower/toilet) were exactly what we needed. The location was perfect for walkers like my husband and I - plus it is very close to a lovely tea room, village shop and pub. Moreover, we were only a short drive from a number of ‘beauty-spots’ - as well as Minehead and other busier areas.

Everything was great. The property was clean, beautifully decorated and very cosy. There were kitchen facilities to cook our own meals which meant we didn’t have to eat out every night, and the shower was powerful and hot. Netflix and Sky both also came in handy during a particularly rainy day! Cooked breakfast was outstanding, one of the best veg brekkies we have had in a BnB. Aside from that there was cereal, fruit and yoghurt provided and some nice extra touches like water and juice. The host was welcoming and friendly. Also property is in a good location for exploring the National park. Would highly recommend for a couple or single person (oh, and its dog friendly too!)

Nothing at all. It was all great. If I had to put something I would say because of its size it is probably not suitable for a much longer break (we stayed for 2 nights which was perfect) or for people that bring loads of stuff with them and want a ton of floor space.

Getting on/off the bar stools with tired legs after a day of walking!

Mop was a fantastic host, got us in and left us to it. We brought two parrots, a first for Mole End, but they also loved it, and Mop was so excited to have them. We all slept soundly, and the whole place was cleaner than a brand new Premier Inn or 5 star hotels in London.

Nothing. We removed the air freshener, but some people probably like it!
