Very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Matthew showed us to our room and was very informative. It was very dog friendly and welcoming even had breakfast in the room as we have an anxious dog.

Everything was spot on. Could not fault it. The location was ideal.

Overall breakfast good could have had more choice as enjoy porrige in morning?

Everything expected been several times would recommend if staying over in Ambleside.

Very good choice of breakfast and the cooked breakfasts choices were cooked very nicely with good quality ingredients The room was probably one of, if not the best, I have ever stayed in. Very well equipped and excellent facilities

We did not enquire, so this may have been something able to be resolved - whilst the towel rail was a nice thing to have, especially on soggy days to help dry out clothes, we could not see a way of turning it off. It did emitt a lot of heat which did make the room quite 'stuffy' at times - we began to keep the bathroom door shut which helped. As I say, I would not rate the room down for this at all

The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. The staff were lovely. The place was friendly for dogs, yet as clean as anybody could ask. I would rate this as by far the best place I have stayed in the Lake District.

The room was quite hot so we had to turn off the radiators and open the window - hardly a problem at all!
