"Absolutely loved The Potting Shed and all it has to offer, felt very close to nature in gorgeous surroundings."

9.0

Outside space and lovely walks on the doorstep, superbly equipped with great little touches as in a tray of local produce (bread, milk, jams, cookies etc) along with home grown eggs. Everything in excellent working order and well maintained.

The size of the fridge was a little bit limiting, if wanting to avoid to many trips to the shops maybe a slightly larger fridge for storage would benefit those who just wanted to park the car and hole up for a few days. But certainly not a negative

Very good description, very quiet and peaceful, great place to relax, or if want somewhere to get away from the busy world we live in nowadays

Bbq light fluid might been easier to start fire that all or could just be me use to the one use and throw away ones

"It's well worth experiencing this wonderful unique stay! Much nicer than a boring hotel IMO"

10.0

I can't recommend The Potting Shed enough - if you have an opportunity to stay here then do it! Surrounded by beautiful countryside in a secluded spot; chickens and a friendly orange cat, plus sightings of dear, rabbits and all kinds of wild birds; lots of space; very kind and attentive hosts while also giving guests complete privacy. The hosts have thought of everything you could need during your stay and more. It is like camping, but with full range of home comforts and minus the faff of a tent. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which made the stay absolutely perfect. If it had been cold and wet, it would have been a shame, but I think it would have been cosy enough in the "bed shed"

Not a problem for me at all as 1). I live in the countryside and like sounds of nature And 2). I usually wear earplugs to sleep anyway from.doing shift work! but worth knowing that there are beautiful roosters that do crow in the morning. The general bird song is quite loud from about 4am as it is such a haven for nature! I found my standard ear plugs made this a total non-issue and I could see that similar earplugs were also provided in the room too in case needed by guests.

"Excellent stay, beautiful place and incredibly attentive and kind host. Thank you!"

10.0

We loved the little added touches, we were given fresh eggs, homemade bread and yummy biscuits. There was milk, jam and butter in the fridge. It was so lovely not having to take anything will us, it was all there. The shower was lovely and hot, the toiletries provided were excellent. The place was so quiet (bar the rooster đŸ€) and it felt really private. We loved the wifi and having the tv in the bedroom too.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Liked everything about this place. The whole set up was fantastic! Very private space to just sit and chill.

TV connection not great but not the be all and end all. The cockerel!! Even with earplugs it still wakes you in the early hours!

"Lovely restful experience in nature"

10.0

The potting shed experience was amazing. It kicked start strong with closed roads but thankfully Kaye was so helpful to make sure I could arrive and depart. The cabins were lovely, well decorated and well thought out with torch, tea bag and explanations. The fire pit and homemade products were the highlights (especially the cookies and I am not even a sweet tooth). It is not cold in the bedroom cabin thanks to the heater and thick duvet, all were really comfortable. I loved being outdoor and in nature. It was a really restful, lovely stay. I highly recommend.

"An excellent stay, just what I needed after a busy week."

9.0

Above all I enjoyed the quietness and the seclusion. The facilities are really good and having homemade food and fresh eggs was an unexpected bonus. I walked the footpath across the fields to Manuden and enjoyed a drink at the Yew Tree pub. I'm sure many guests stay here because of it's proximity to Stansted Airport, but I was happy just sitting in the garden and relaxing. Yes, you can hear the planes sometimes, but I was never bothered by it.

Not a complaint: I had my own thermos flask and found it handy to fill it with hot water to use later rather than boiling the kettle again.
