We can only warn anyone from staying at this hotel! You won’t find it at Google maps under the name listed here because they decided to change the name due to bad previous reviews - it’s actually called Hotel East View in Varanasi (run by the chain OYO). We were supposed to stay here for two nights but ended up having to fight with hotel management for an entire day to be allowed to stay for one night from 21-22 December — we had to leave because it was so bad. We ended up being charged an exorbitant amount of money (more than 100 EUR/night) for a stay in a completely run down hotel with a broken toilet, broken shower, dirty and run down room, moldy bathroom, dead insects in bathroom, AC not functioning and many more issues. The pictures will say it all… The hotel manager himself said that the rate was totally overpriced but he couldn’t do anything to charge us less. We were actually in fear for our safety after observing another couple being physically attacked on the premises (and locked into the small reception room) by the hotel staff, after the female guest had a meltdown after talking to hotel management. Police had to be called. Another Indian couple we met outside told us they had been kicked out of the hotel and had to find a new place to sleep now… Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel. We have requested a refund and do not get any reaction from the hotel whatsoever…

INThe staff (except the manager) was good, very helpful. We experienced difficulties to reach the hotel with the luggage, but the person in the reception (i guess the caretaker) was so polite and provided all help to reach the main junction during our checkout.
The manager was not responsible. We called the contact number given to ask for directions but the manager was not available and he failed to give proper directions to the location. The hotel is situated in ghat, and you will have to walk through the gallis to reach there. So, it was better if they would have provided the hotel reception number instead of the manager's number.
