Villa Nutmeg Grove Galle

This property was the most perfect to stay in Galle! It was so private, super clean, had everything we needed, we also enjoyed having a bit more space and the location was perfect - 10 min walk from the bus stop and 10 min walk from town and the fort. Couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking to stay in Galle. The host was also beyond lovely and helped us with anything we needed. 10/10!

Everything

This is a beautiful gated small villa with its own garden. It is incredibly clean, and the bed was super comfy! The owner is very welcoming and takes great care of you. The owner welcomed me offering a cold drink / tea, and provided some snacks and lots of water. The shower is very nice also. Only a 10 minute walk to the train station, which is very convenient.

It is next to the train line, so it can be disturbing at nighttime as the trains blow their horns several times through the night. The walk to the villa is about 5-7 minutes down a dark lane, which may not be comfortable for everyone if alone at night - but you can easily take a cheap Tuktuk ride!

Very cute little bungalow, felt like home. Clean, simple and comfortable. Location is nice too, you're about 10 mins walk from the fort and there are breakfast and snack options closer by. The host is very kind. I highly recommend this place.

A small improvement would be to place 1 or 2 comfortable chairs on the terrace. That way you can really enjoy your private little garden. I asked for a chair and was immediatly given one, so it worked out fine. Also bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Very close to the train tracks and they are noisy.
