Saints Bay Hotel

Surroundings and views were amazing. Out in the middle of no where, overlooking the see - nice and tranquil.

V. helpful patron offered to make us sandwiches when we hadn't realised evening meals were only available if pre-ordered. (There had been a fire in the kitchen so cooking facilities were temporary.)

About a 12 minute walk from the nearest bus stop. On arrival the radiators in the hall and room were turned up to max. on a day when the outside temperature was more than 25C, so the room was like a sauna at well over 35C!!

Footpaths from the hotel with great views of the cliffs and sea in Saints Bay. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Nice bathroom.

Bedroom seemed stark with harsh lighting. Would have felt better/cosier with curtains, bedside lampshades and without the plastic flowers.

- Cleaning, Restaurant and Bar staff were excellent. They were attentive and offered recommendations on the best choices of food and drink. They also ensured room was clean and tidied daily and would replace towels regularly - The swimming pool. The option of having a pool was great, especially as during our stay the weather was warm. Not many hotels in Guernsey have an outdoor pool so this was a nice option. - Good Public transport links - having a a bus stop nearby and regular access to taxis. Hotel was also located near the costal path which takes you all around the island. - Female receptionist was great and any queries/questions I had, she was be very helpful.

- Very expensive for a 3 star hotel and not good value for money in my opinion. - I paid for a room with patio and pool view - on arrival I discovered I had no patio or pool view. I was informed by the male receptionist after complaining, that if I was to look out of the window and turn my head to right I would see the pool. Also I was told that the patio that I paid for, was by the pool and not outside my room. Totally unacceptable.
