Stable Cottage, Whitebridge Farm

Even nicer inside than the pictures suggest. Comfortable and well equipped for our stay. Enjoyed the visiting chickens!

Location was excellent, easy to find and good for transport routes, but quiet and peaceful. The self catering cottage was well equipped for 2 people for a short stay. Communication with the hosts was very good in advance of the stay to make sure details were correct.

I arrived at 6pm to find my cottage was already occupied even though I’d had an email from the owner the night before telling me the keys would be in the cottage door. The owner was away and only because her tenant in the annexe was able to contact her was I able to speak to her. Fortunately, she was able to get me accommodation nearby at a local pub for the three nights that I was booked for. While this was not self catering accommodation as planned. I was very grateful to have somewhere to stay this late in the day. she also agreed to pay for the alternative accommodation. While I was lucky to find other accommodation, it certainly was not a situation I would wish to repeat.

TV picture and sound very poor

Very good cooking facility and comfortable bed It was nicer than the photos on website which make it look cold and Spartan

The TV was tricky. The photos on website are off putting as it looks cold and empty but it isn’t

Annabelle was a wonderful host. We arrived late on the Friday and needed an Iron. She dropped one off on Sat Morning when we called her. She also kindly dropped some fresh eggs to us and gave us a late check out as we had a wedding to attend on the Sat :)

Lovely place

Great location which was the most important for this trip.

Extremely dated bathroom in need of a total renovation. Bed was very soft and not supportive.
