If you're a gearhead, you'll love Mick's place! I knew this was some place special when I pulled into the driveway and saw a dragster sitting in front of his house. He came out and greeted me, showed me around and explained how everything worked in the apartment which shares space with a garage where he has an old Ford he's working on. In the apartment living quarters, there's all sorts of drag racing memorabilia, posters, models and '50s/'60s-look appliances plus a table and chairs that also reflect that oldies feel. The bed was large and comfortable, the WiFi was pretty fast, the TV and everything else I tried worked. Mick and Rhonda are great hosts, very friendly and ultra-helpful. They provide menus from some of the local restaurants they recommend (and are within a couple miles). I'd stay there again without question!

As I was there in the winter, it was chilly outside and the heater in the room would probably be fine for a room that size. However, it's also charged with heating the garage space so it didn't get quite as warm as initially expected. Still, that only affected me when I was up and about. The bed had enough blankets to make that a non-issue.

It really was fun… quirky, distinctive yet clean and fully equipped. You don’t want to miss this experience.

Maybe add bedside tables.

The hosts were warm and friendly, the space was clean and adequate.

Lovely place, every detail (coffee, milkshakes, breakfast, even candy from the 1950s machine) present, and a truly cozy and amusing room. When there were some small problems with the wifi, the landlady went out of her way to solve it. It was just great fun.
