Rain Forest Star

Die Gastgeber waren super lieb und hilfsbereit. Wir haben eine Tour mit unseren Host gemacht, und haben dabei viel über den Regenwald gelernt und hatten unfassbar viel Spaß. Zudem haben wir frühstück und Abendessen in der Unterkunft gegessen was wirklich köstlich war, auch auf Allergien und andere Wünsche bzw des Essens haben sie super geholfen und Alternativen angeboten. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur wärmstens Empfehlen, wenn man ein bisschen Ruhe in der Natur braucht. Wirklich eine ganz tolle Familie.

Sehr modernes und schönes Zimmer! Gute Lage im Grünen und fußläufig zum Regenwald-Eingang. Die Tour in den Regenwald wurde direkt vom Host der Unterkunft geleitet und hat uns gut gefallen! Wir haben viele Tiere gesehen! Außerdem gab es ein leckeres Frühstück und Mangos aus dem eigenen Garten.

J’ai adoré mon séjour au Rain Forest Star! Je n’avais pris qu’une nuit, j’aurai du en prendre plusieurs. La chambre est très grande et très bien équipée. Les hôtes sont adorables et ont tout fait pour rendre mon séjour inoubliable! Je suis partie 1/2 journée dans la forêt avec mon hôte et c’était incroyable ! J’en garderai un souvenir incroyable pour toujours :) Le calme, la vue, les délicieux repas, mon expérience dans la jungle, je n’oublierai jamais! Je vous recommande cet établissement ++++++

Die mit Abstand schönste Unterkunft während unserer drei wöchigen Sri Lanka Reise! Das Zimmer (eigentlich ein eigener Bugalow in wunderschönem Garten mit leckerem Mangobaum) einfach nur toll mit schönem Ausblick und das Badezimmer war premium. Prabath und seine Familie sind unglaublich gastfreundlich und sind sehr bemüht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen! Wir wurden mit einem sehr leckeren Smoothie begrüßt und uns wurden alle Wünsche erfüllt. Die Tour durch den Regenwald mit Prabath als Guide war unglaublich! Er hat ein super gutes Auge und Gespür, wenn es darum geht die Tiere im Wald aufzuspüren! Wir haben super viel gesehen und tolle Fotos mitnehmen können. Sogar insgesamt 6 Schlangen, viele andere Reptilien, Vögel, Affen und schöne Pflanzen. Inklusive baden an einem wunderschönen Wasserfall. Danke für alles! Hoffentlich schaffen wir es irgendwann wieder hier her.

Fabulous overall. The owner gave us a guided walk through the jungle and we saw tons of wildlife. The food was also phenomenal- highly recommend the kottu and the pepper curry chicken.

We had the most incredible stay and honestly couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, Prabath and his wife were unbelievably generous and welcoming. The homemade food was absolutely delicious, with the curry and hoppers being our favourites. One of the highlights was the rainforest walk with Prabath, it exceeded all expectations. We saw two types of monkeys, blue-nosed lizards, many birds, snakes, and even a giant blue scorpion. He always knew exactly where to look. We also loved our conversations and finished the walk with a relaxing swim in a waterfall which was perfect. Also Prabath provided leech socks which put us as ease. The room itself was very comfortable, clean, and surrounded by nature. Sitting on the terrace listening to the sounds of the rainforest and watching birds (our favourites being the kingfishers and bee-eaters) was so beautiful and peaceful. At night, you can even see fireflies in a nearby tree, which felt truly magical. This was without a doubt our favourite stay of the trip, perhaps ever, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. If you love nature, wildlife, peace, and the calming sounds of the rainforest, this place is absolutely for you. Thank you Prabath and family, from Somer and Gee.

Very nice, quiet place with a nice, caring host. The house is big and tidy. The host is also a guide, so one can sign up for a tour right away. Hiring the host is worth the money if you want to have something more than "walk inside the forest" - he cares about explaining everything and really puts his effort into locating some animals.

The breakfast could have been bigger, but it was still tasty.

Wonderful place! Room was spacious, very clean and had everything to make our stay comfortable. The view from the window and terrace is beautiful, was very relaxing to sit and watch the peaceful village and the many birds on the field. We also loved that we got few very sweet dogs joining our chill time at the terrace, such animal company is always welcomed! :) Owners were friendly and welcoming. Their homecooked meals were delicious! Sadly we had only one night here, would've enjoyed to stay longer. But we will definitely come back and I can truly recommend this place to everyone who wants a lovely stay near Sinharaja Forest!

The bed was too soft for someone dealing with backpain, but this is of course a preference matter.
