Clean and comfortable room, very friendly staff and immediate response to any questions. Coffee, tea and snacks were provided for free. Very good location between central bus station and historical centre

A bit noisy location

The host is amazing and had the best approach to helping us during our stay!

We were very pleased with our stay at Il Ghiro. The location turned out to be very close to all the interesting sights and also to the main street. There are 5 rooms in this complex, all accessing a communal kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster, electric jug. Whilst kitchen equipment was limited, there was supplied milk, juice and some food items which was very helpful. Units located on 3rd floor, accessed by 2 elevators. There are 3 supermarkets within 400m of property. Catania markets are only 200m away. Host George, met us at the entrance and explained everything about the property very well (in English). We had a little issue on arrival (cleaner did not leave toilet paper in unit) - which George was able to resolve immediately!

There is no signage at unit building, although google maps was able to direct us to site. We definitely would not have known where to get in, accept that host George telephoned us at time of arrival and met us at entrance.

Good location - not quite in the city center, but walking distance to it. Very close to the bus and train station, and a lot of supermarkets around. Friendly staff.

No signs! It's tricky to find the entrance. Ask the staff for directions and a photo of the front door.

apartment not comfortable, ants in the kitchen.. parking mentioned as 6Eur per day but actually it's 6Eur for 12 hours and 12Euro per day and that parking is far from the apartment (around 300m). in front of the apartment there is paid street parking, 1 Eur/hour.. I wanted to check in at 4pm but the host said, for him it's not possible at 4pm.. so I canceled my other plans and come to the apartment earlier (because I paid during booking)... briefly it was very bad experience for me...
