Different area to visit, close to shops and facilities. Clean and tidy and with everything we needed for our stay

The entrance to the courtyard parking is very difficult. The management should advise that anyone with more than a small car should check out the layout on foot before driving in. Once in, manoeuvring is a challenge. I just managed with a Vitara (compact SUV) with friend helping from outside.

The location was excellent - right in the centre of Saxmundham. Costa, Tesco and Waitrose are all in walking distance which is a bonus. The cottage is incredibly spacious and great value for money. It appeared extremely clean on arrival.

Small things but there was dirty crockery in the cupboards (I took a photo which I can send) and also dirty cutlery in the drawer. It looked like perhaps the dishwasher wasn't cleaning properly (we didn't use it) and they had just been put back dirty. There is no plug for the bath so we couldn't use it, although the bath and the bathroom are beautiful. The twin bedroom has a window with no curtain so couldn't really be used in summer, especially by children.

We loved The Barn—the location was perfect and central—it allowed us to pop out to pick up food easily as well as get to the station for an early morning drop off. We are a family of five and there was plenty of room for us all. The kitchen was great and well equipped , and I particularly like having a washing machine!

It was quite tricky to get our slightly large car into the driveway for parking.

Parking, access from the road, lack of clothes hanging and storing facilities, poor decoration, poor kitchen equipment, lack of useful information on site, defective ensuite shower equipment. I could go on!!
