Royal Mile Famous Canongate Flat

Fab host, they were really accommodating and had really good communication. The apartment is in a great location, felt very secure, was spacious and decorated nicely and had everything we needed! Very happy guests, thank you so much, We would stay here again 😊

The accommodation was clean and tidy, well equipped, close to the Waverley train station, easy to get around and saw the first snowfall over here!

Overall great little flat in the heart of the royal mile and very close to pubs and sights.

Instructions sent on how to access the flat itself were not great as didn't get told key information on how to 'Jiggle' the handle and turn the key in a certain way to get in. However, host was available late at night and apologised for not passing the correct pictures and information on the door access. Other than that, was good. We actually spent very little time in the flat as were out and about most of the time but would be a good base for friends or a family stay for a few days. 10 minute walk from train station and Prince's street.

The bedroom doors are mostly glass. They had a tulle curtain hung on the inside of the door. However, the overall effect is similar to a shower curtain, the details are blurred but still visible. If you weren’t already really close to the people you’re travelling with, you are going to be after staying here. Also, the coded locks on the doors we could not get to work no matter how many times we tried. So be careful of closing the bedroom doors you will get locked out. Very noisy. I could hear the upstairs neighbour perfectly. No towels in the kitchen or bathroom. No clothes drying rack. Very basic accommodation.
