For Students Only Student Roost The Boulevard York

Very nice and quiet

The location is very good, between the city center and the university

I am a student at the uni of york. It was nice for my short stay of 3 nights in May 2026. What I liked: 1.The boulevard was a good choice as it is a 10minute walk into campus. 2.Theres a bus stop right outside the accommodation that goes into campus and also into town. 3.The shower water pressure was good and hot water throughout. 4.It is right between a gas station convenience store SPAR and M&S that are open 24/7. 5.There are a bunch of food options too whether you want fast food, or an actual meal. Theres also an international supermarket which sells cool things. 6.In my encounters, the staff were friendly and liked to help. 7. This is a niche one but food delivery to the location and also uber pickups were very easy. The drivers know this place and you don't have to fiddle around too much setting your location. Theres a little open area past the gates so you dont have to stop in the middle of the road to get in your uber or get a delivery.

What Could've Been Better: 1. The bedding was below average. The pillowcases were rough and the mattress feels thin. 2. If you are in a room with a vertical window facing into the accommodation like mine, I found the blinds quite strange. You can't have the shades up to get sunlight in without being completely visible from outside. But you have to close them fully for privacy, and then get no sunlight. If they had those twisting flaps kinds of blinds it would have been perfect. 3. The laundry room by the reception had limited machines. Though I don't know whether that is the only laundry room in the complex or not 4. There wasn't a trash can in my room, which is a minor issue but also an easy fix Final Thoughts: If you're someone coming to stay at the boulevard for a short period up to a month for exams and on a budget, the boulevard is one of if not the best choice. But if you're planning to stay in York for longer than that, and have extra budget there are definitely better student accommodation options closeby.

Great location between the university campus and the city. Friendly reception, good value for money and good facilities. Communal kitchen fully equipped with everything you could need, cooking equipment, fridge, etc

Cleanliness could have been better, but perfectly acceptable.
