Good value of price. Tidy place

No toilet paper but not a big deal Multiple times asked if we could have a meal there but it seemed like they wanted to direct us towards restaurants. Not sure why, felt like they did not want to cook.

It’s a very calm and quiet place with beautiful views, a very friendly and accomodating host, comfortable rooms and delicious food. It’s a great place to stay for a few days or a few weeks.

Firdous is an excellent host and his hospitality really made this trip special. The houseboat is in a beautiful and peaceful location, not far from the Ghats. The homemade food was incredible (his wife is an amazing cook) - I was made to feel at home from day one. Firdous also offers shikara rides, trekking and other activities for a good price. I really enjoyed the Shikara ride and learning about life on the lake. The room was super comfortable and the houseboat had a really traditional, authentic feel. I recommend sitting on the roof and watching the stars at night. Firdous offered free transportation to/from shore whenever I needed at short notice. Overall, this truly surpassed my wildest expectations. Staying on the houseboat made me fall in love with Srinagar and Kashmir - I really want to come back and will definitely be staying here again. 11/10, would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay on this house boat and were happy to have planned and pre-booked it in advance. Our stay was very comfortable, and the food we had was particularly delicious. We found Nahir particularly friendly, easy going and helpful, and nothing was too much effort. It was also set a little further back so it was peaceful.

Great experience to stay on a houseboat. the place is comfortable, and the hosts go the extra mile to help the guest. though it’s on the lake, transports is never a problem. just need to talk to the hosts and they will make it work. they have a good philosophy about hosting guests and keep the place authentic instead of being overly commercialised. Great place to stay!

Veena Houseboats offers the best value for money. If you are looking to spend time far away from the crowded areas in Dal Lake, it's the best place to plan your stay. The location of this property is secluded from the bustling areas of Dal Lake and offers a calm and peaceful stay. The rooms and toilet were very clean. The caretaker Nasir Bhai and the owner were very friendly and helpful. Nasir even took some time and taught me how to row a catamaran boat. It was such a joyful experience. It was a nice experience overall and I would rate 9 out of 10 for this property.

The houseboat is neat and clean. They are very friendly.

But one problem, In case of coming from houseboat to the road, you have to pay 100 taka. The houseboat staff charged me 100 rupees while dropping me on the ghat number 7 street. It should have been free.
