"1 up,1 down and another up a 2nd stair"

10.0

Take a road, half is one way but you can go both ways once you're in it and there are 2 x 1A but there are 2 roads on the same street! Well...that is Wren Cottage to a T! Just when you think you've sussed it out you realize there's more! If you like the quaint and quirky with some comfort thrown in ,this is it. It's the oldest house on the street, over 400 years and brilliantly renovated. The bedroom is huge and fabulous with a really comfy huge bed. Ideally situated 2 mins from the main street. If you are sound of limb then this will suit you no end. John is the kindest landlord, going above and beyond to help us out.

If your legs are a bit iffy or stairs aren't your thing or you are 6 ft 6ins then you may find getting to and from the upper floor a bit of a problem. The bedroom is up a flight of steepish stairs off the living room. The bathroom is up a very steep flight of half deep steps off the kitchen. So, you,'ve worked it out that a middle of the night trip to the loo needs a sure footed person. Even so,this 72 and 79 year old couple with iffy legs just about managed it with difficulty and we'd come back.

"Beautiful old house"

10.0

The property is really interesting with loads of period character. It's been brilliantly restored and it's nicely presented. Great location just off the high street. Host was very responsive and helpful. Had a great time.

Nothing.

"Charming cottage in central location"

9.0

Charming cottage, tastefully restored and decorated. Very cosy and warm on arrival and we had a very comfortable stay. Great communication from the owner and everything was as expected. Large comfortable bedroom.

Separate narrow staircases to the bathroom.and bedroom could be awkward for some people, but not a problem for us.

Fantastic location for the town and lots of attractions.

Heating needed to be on earlier, it was extremely cold. Everything else was great.

"A perfect weekend get away thank you."

10.0

Quaint little cottage with its delightful quirks. My husband did have to think about ducking his head in places however this added to the charm. A perfect weekend get away with all the necessary mod cons. Conveniently situated off the high street for the shopping, coffee shops and restaurants. I am sure we will be back at some point.

There was nothing not to like - perfect for our stay.

"A great venue - will definitely use it again."

The location was amazing - a 2 minute walk to the high street.

It was a little cooler when I first arrived.
