Cosy character cottage in central Marlborough UK

Amazing location! Such a quaint little property, we loved it. The bed was so comfortable, very cosy indeed and immaculately clean. A perfect stay for a couple. The only thing I would mention is that you need to be small to climb the stairs to the bathroom which were located above the kitchen area via a separate set of stairs on other side of the property from the bedroom, so using the bathroom in the night was an adventure but hey that was all part of its charm. Thank you to John who was the perfect host, communication excellent and very accommodating with check in times and information. Thank you for the cracker, a lovely touch :D

Great location. The house had everything we needed. No complaints

We knew the house was quirky so it would be wrong to complain about anything really but the shower/toilet access is certainly a minus for older people like me. Then again it does say that on the booking info. Parking is also a bit of an issue but we coped ok & again it was made clear beforehand.

A gorgeous character home with everything you could need. Very homely. Lovely personal touches. Fab location.

Great location, lovely old building. Host gives good notice of a couple of quirks inevitable in a house of this age.

Can't comment on cooking side of the kitchen, as ate out.

Cosy well-equipped cottage in excellent location

Parking is a bit of an issue in Marlborough. Low ceilings led to a grazed head!

Very easy to find, check-in was simple and this very cosy cottage is in a fantastic location for Marlborough.

The stairs were a little tricky as one of us is awaiting a knee replacement, however in our excitement to book the cottage we didn't read the very clear instructions about the stairs, so that's down to us.

Really liked the close proximity to the town, but very quiet. Very comfortable bed. Very helpful host! Well equipped

Husband struggled with low ceiling.

The parking was the only fault I had with the property and the owner can’t do anything about that

Wren Cottage is a 400 year old cottage which is quirky and full of character. It is ideally located, right in the centre of Marlborough and is equipped to a very high standard. John, the host, couldn’t have been more helpful from start to finish. We enjoyed a welcome pack of fresh bread, milk, butter, tea & coffee, biscuits and there was a good stock of all necessary kitchen/cleaning items. John regularly checked whether we needed anything further, which on this occasion we did not. A couple of good walks from the cottage are also recommended.
