"Comfortable property in great location"

8.0

Great location, spacious living room and bedroom. Comfortable sofa and nice to come back to at the end of the day.

Some cleanliness issues; lots of dusty surfaces in the bedroom.

"Great cottage, great location."

9.0

Quirky little cottage set on the edge of the Marlborough High Street. Well equipped kitchen which is great for preparing food if you're on a budget, if you're happy to eat out there's plenty of cafes and restaurants a short walk away, also having a Waitrose so close is idea. The bed was comfortable and there's plenty of storage for clothes. The property is warm and cosy throughout and the bathroom as perfectly adequate. In conclusion we had a great winter trip and felt relaxed during our stay.

The bathroom is a distance from the bedroom as the stairs to get there are very steep but not a huge issue. My wife and I are quite tall and the ceilings are low but that's to be expected from an old building.

"Comfortable cottage"

9.0

Location is very central, charming and comfortable place, clean and well equipped. Historic town. Thoughtful and helpful host. Glad of the milk and biscuits, coffee etc left for us. We rented on nights when temperatures were below freezing but were able to get the house warm enough. Our mobility is good but the narrow stair treads could be difficult for some.

The draughts around the front door and front staircase wall need attention.

"Lovely - would love to stay again on next visit to Marlborough 😊"

10.0

It was very cosy , clean , centrally placed - it was lovely

The toilet and bathroom are fairly inaccessible from bedroom as you need to go downstairs and up another flight of stairs to reach it . It was not at all a dislike just a comment . The description makes it clear that it is not suitable for everyone.

"Helpful host who replied very quickly, cottage renovated to a high quality standard, town was lovely."

7.0

The cottage was lovely but cold when getting up in the morning as couldn’t turn the heater in the bedroom on. Also when we booked we thought there was a log burner, it needs to be clearer in the write up that it is an electric fire.
