A microwave would have been nice

Don’t do it unless you have a high stress level. You’re in big trouble if u cannot make an international telephone call, the person answering your call does not speak your language, your iPhone is charged, you can connect to the internet, and you’re an IT expert downloading APPs to your iPhone. You arrive during daytime and not night, and it’s not freezing nor raining. The tip off to trouble to come was when the taxi driver pulled up to a door with only a street number. There was no hotel sign nor anyone to greet you. This is not a hotel. It is an air B and B although it is represented by Booking as a Hotel. To access the facilities, you must make an international call (good luck with that). Fortunately for me the person answering the call spoke passable English. Hopefully, she will speak your language. You are directed by her to download an APP on to your iPhone, to access this APP which will unlock doors. If your battery is down nor you cannot access the internet again, you’re in trouble. After 10 minutes of trying to download the appointed APP, she remotely unlocked the exterior and the room door to let me in. Again, after spending about 20 minutes on an international call, I convinced her to come over and set up the app for me. “I know how to download an APP. But this APP was not compatible with my iPhone” After she set up the APP on my iPhone she left, and my next concern was would the APP work when I went out to eat. Upon return, the APP let me access the exterior door but not the room door. Again, she remotely opens the unit door. I checked out the next morning for a hotel. I blame Booking.com for some of this confusion. I thought I was booking a hotel. There is no indication on the Booking confirmation form that this is not a hotel. I have booked over one hundred hotel rooms with Bookings over many years. This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review. Furthermore, it’s not that good of a location.

The location is very central. The apartment is well equipped and very clean and modern.

The parking situation is difficult. The host arranged for us to be permitted to enter the city centre but it was still difficult to work out where we were allowed to park.

Had ISSUES WHEN WE ARRIVED THE APP WHICH I WAS TOLD TO DOWNLOAD DIDNT WORK AND HAVING TO STAND OUTSIDE FRONT DOOR WHile I EMAILED THE HOST, AND WAITING FOR HER TO MANUALLY LET US IN Wasn’t A GOOD START! the purpose of our visit was to attend a wedding, arriving back at the property at 1am app refused me access! after several attempts and restating app i did get into the complex but again the app told me I wasn’t authorised to gain access to the apartment again standing on the stairwell trying to contact the host by phone which didn’t happen.so finally 20minutes later again having to reload the app access was finally given, not good at 1am knowing that we had to vacate at 10am. also on our return after being out on both occasions there was a strong smell of drains in the apartment.
