Rooms were lovely, great communal facilities, nice food, excellent helpful owners running the place. Clean, the pool looked amazing but it was a little cold to use at the time. Owners went above and beyond to make it a great stay. Thanks

A little out of Ninh Binh area meant we had to be a little organised.

The hosts were quite attentive and lovely to interact with. They made me feel at home and were quite helpful.

The location within the peaceful Van Long Nature Reserve, and also that everything about this Homestay reflected the thoughtful care and attention to every detail that the host family have in their approach to all that they do: beautiful gardens, clean, comfortable and tasteful room and beautiful fresh food- this was our favourite Homestay of our Vietnamese adventure! The owners went out of their way to ensure we were thoughtfully looked after. Also, as an amateur artist I had a wonderful afternoon of painting tuition from the owner’s sister, completing an acrylic canvas painting of a view of the nature reserve that I had photographed from a bicycle tour in the morning, which I will now have as a wonderful souvenir of our wonderful stay!

We loved everything!

Beautiful and peaceful homestay near Van Long Wetlands. The free bicycle provided worked well with proper mountain bike tyres. The motorbike I rented was modern and ran well. The location is very quiet and away from tourists but close enough to walk to Van Long or bike to all the major Ninh Binh attractions like Bear Sanctuary and Cuc Phuong national park. The host family were incredibly kind and warm. They made my stay extra special.

We had a wonderful 3 days at Nha Lua Homestay and could easily have spent a whole week here. Although the accommodation is a little away from the tourist centers of Ninh Binh and Tam Coc (approx. 30-35 min by scooter or cab from the bus stop in Tam Coc, ~300,000 Dong), it offers all the more peace and authenticity. The rooms are very tasteful and super clean. The garden with many plants and the pool in the middle is wonderful, it feels like you're swimming in the middle of the jungle. The owners built everything themselves and are incredibly hospitable and helpful. For example, we were allowed to leave our luggage in another room on check-out day and use the bathroom and shower there free of charge. Both breakfast and dinner are freshly prepared, beautifully presented and very tasty. Totally fair value for money! Scooters can be rented at the accommodation for 150,000 dong/day, so you can quickly reach all the attractions in the region and get a taste of 'real life' in Vietnam along the way. We would stay here again anytime and can fully recommend it! We wish Hoang and his family all the best :)

Hoang and his family were really helpful and kind. The room was lovely - comfortable and spacious - and the pool was very welcome in the heat. The whole Homestay is beautiful with lush planting and art. Free bicycles made it easy to go to local temples and can long park and village

Beautiful garden. Very peaceful. Away from the crowds. Great local food, especially the pork cooked with banana. Rooms are done up really nicely. Perfect for a quiet escape from Hanoi.

Hoang and is family are great host, doing everything they can to make you feel at home. The homestay is nice and clean with everything you need. The food is homemade and delicious. The location is a bit outside the tourist zone, very quiet, in the middle of the rice fields, but close enough by bike or motorbike to all main locations.

We decided to quickly leave the busy tourist area after a few noisy nights in Hanoi. Here is what we needed: a lovely and tranquil home, like being lost in a jungle garden, with a nice pool filled with fresh water. We had a really good sleep and woke up to the little birdsong, a peaceful sound. You can get a free bicycle to explore the beauty of Van Long or rent a good scooter to visit other places in Ninh Binh (just 20 to 30 minutes away). Our very helpful host arranged transportation for us from Hanoi. Breakfast was delicious with much variety and also a choice from menu, i am really thankful to Huoan family for all of the help and for all the great meal i tried.
