Beautifull, comfortable, very very nice and calm host(s) with a variety of tips and suggestions if needed. The only homestay in the whole of vietnam we visited without slightly damp and musty smells/interiors. Great rooms, beautiful linnens and bathroom. Garden truly tropical and well kept. Really a little gem. Possible to borrel (good!) bikes or rent a good motorscooter. We used it every day and you can reach all fun activities quite easily with these. Hosts cooking is very good and fresh ingredients every day.

We loved our stay at the Nhà Lúa Homestay - we had previously stayed at couple other places in the more central - and touristy - Ninh Binh area and came here for our last night after visiting places along the way including Hoa Lu Ancient Capital and Bai Dinh Pagoda. Both the place and the people here were absolutely lovely - it was so wonderful to find ourselves in such an oasis of peace after all the touristy places. We loved bike-riding around and visited the nearby Van Long wetland reserve that was beautiful in the wintery mist. We loved our room that was very comfortable and warm during our unusually cold stay in January and we loved the garden and the common area with delicious food provided. The homestay staff kindly organised for us free mountain bikes and a cheap taxi back to Ninh Binh train station - it was a great place where to finish our few days Ninh Binh area visit.

NA - the weather wasn't great but luckily it was very comfortable here - I imagine it would have been even better during warmer months.

We had a great time at Nha Lua Homestay! Hong and Tsao were extremely nice, very dedicated to make our stay as easy as possible. In addition to the great food, the amazing garden, the fresh fruits and the most beautiful room of our trip, they lent us bikes, gave us great advices and organized our transfers for us. The homestay has a very pleasant atmosphere, an artsy vibe, and is eco-friendly!

An incredibly beautiful gem hidden away from all the highly touristic areas of Ninh Binh. We took bicycles from the hosts and had a wonderful ride to the Van along reserve. We also had great dinner and breakfast cooked by the lovely hosting family. A comfortable and unique space. Couldn’t recommend it more!

The staff is very kind and helpful. They told us the best places to visit and they were always available. The rooms have a really nice style and they are very clean. I really recommend this place!

Huang and his family was very warm and welcoming, the garden settings very tranquil. It was like a sanctuary. Absolutely blissful if you are looking to stay outside of the touristy areas.Van Long nature reserve is very close and was a highlight, and so much less touristy. I would highly recommend this warm and tastefully designed homestay.

A little far from the sights, bur if you ride a scooter then no problem.

We really loved this place - beautifully decorated rooms build around a rich garden with many trees and flowers and a swimming pool. The host family was very nice and welcoming and made us feel at home. Perfect place to discover the Van Long Nature Reserve which is as scenic as the Trang An and Tam Coc area but without the overtourism.

My sister and I had the most wonderful experience at this cozy homestay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by Hoang. The attention to cleanliness and comfort was outstanding; every corner of the homestay was immaculate, and the decor exuded a sense of tranquility. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible kindness of the hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was not just comfortable but also memorable. Their hospitality and genuine care made us feel like a part of their family. We can't recommend this homestay enough. The care taken by the host was exceptional! made me feel like I was the only person there and went far above and beyond what you’d expect. Even took me personally to some local areas and activities. The location was perfect for me as it was out in the villages. The food was fresh and delicious! Well designed space. Homely. Clean. I would stay again without a doubt.

The accommodation is exactly as wonderful and “zen” as it looks on the pictures, with little thoughtful details like a small pot of riceplants reminding that the property once was a ricefield. Our host Huang and his family were very very friendly and helpful, and gave us very valuable recommendations about what we could do and also showed us around looking for the monkeys. The location is around 40 minutes from Ninh Binh, and perfect if you want to experience tourist-free rural Vietnam. Still with motorbike it is possible to explore the surroundings including Tam Coc, Van Long and the national park Cuc Phuong, but without being in such a touristy area like Tam Coc, which we really enjoyed. Be aware that the eating options in the area aiming at tourists are limited. You can eat at the home stay but besides that you will probably eat very local food (which we really enjoyed).
