We really enjoyed our stay at Nha Lua Homestay. The food was very nice and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely come back here! The place is like a little paradise and the room is like a picture from a magazine. Really worth visiting and the cutest family who host it. Big recommendation 💯

The place is just gorgious, Hoang is just super friendly and helped us a lot. Food is good, pool nice, decoration made by the family. They have bikes to explore Van Long Reserve just 1km away, and gives the nice spot to see the monkeys (which we did) ! We stayed 3 nights and could have stayed more !

This is without doubt the best homestay we’ve stayed at in Vietnam. After our motorbike trip in northern Vietnam that has worn us out, we were looking for a nice and relaxing place away from the touristic area. And then we found this beautiful oasis in the middle of the countryside. The homestay has a beautiful tropical garden with a swimming pool. The room was spacious, clean and everything was very well designed and decorated. Food is prepared by the owner and his family and it was very tastful. Mr Hoang gave us tips about exploring Ninh Binh area. Because it’s a bit remote from the touristy stuff, you can rent a motorbike or Mr Hoang can arrange you a taxi. We can feel that Mr Hoang and his family has put all the love, effort and details in this homestay. Next time I’m Vietnam again, I will definitely book a room here again!

What a wonderful, peaceful, green, hidden gem in Ninh Bình! Nhà Lúa only opened in April 2023 and we are so lucky we got to spend a few nights here. Hoang and his family built this little sanctuary with so much love and attention to detail. From the wooden furniture to the paintings and hand-woven lamp shades, it all harmoniously fits together and creates a calming and inviting atmosphere. Needless to say that the room, private bathroom, and common spaces are all well-kept and clean. Our room was airy with very high ceilings and a big king sized bed, with great bedding. It also had a big fridge and a kettle. While the location is more remote than other homestays and hotels in Ninh Binh, you can borrow bikes or Hoang will easily organise taxis. And for anyone travelling through Viet Nam on a motorbike, this is definitely a great base from which to explore Ninh Binh and a perfect place to recharge for a night or two. Nhà Lúa is also only a 15min bike ride away from Vân Long, which is a much less touristy boat ride than Trang An or Tam Coc. While breakfast is included and cooked to order (we were given three options to choose from), Hoang and his family also offer a lunch and dinner menu, which are equally delicious! Above all, we want to thank Hoang and his family for the hospitality. We were met with such warmth and care, never overbearing but always wanting to make sure we had everything we needed. Hoang is easily one of the kindest, honest, dedicated, and most hard-working people we've met and we wish him and his family all the very best! If you are visiting Ninh Binh, we can wholeheartedly recommend Nhà Lúa.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had the best time. Beautiful green property, lovely clean modern rooms, nice swimming pool and delicious Vietnamese food! The host, Hoang, speaks very good English and told us all about Vietnamese culture, which we very much enjoyed. You get a taste of what the real Vietnamese family life is like. You can rent a motorbike to get around to visit place such as Cuc Phuong national park and the Bai Dinh temple. It's a perfect place for digital nomads to stay for a longer period of time!

The homestay is a really nicedamily business, situated in a quiet village just outside of Van Long Nature Reserve. The place is outside of the traditionnal touristic tour in Ninh Binh, which make it a real hidden gem. It is easy to enjoy the beauty of the homestay, its luxurious garden and swimming pool and the surrounding area. Rooms are comfortable and beautiful, all decorated with a lot of taste by all members of the family. Everybody is very welcoming and helpful, providing us with bicycles and motorbikes when needed. The food was also really tasty. I highly recommend!!!

A good place to stay for a getaway weekend. the location is far from Ninh Binh city center & famous attractions, but near Van Long wetland & easy to go to some famous pagodas in Ha Nam province. Hoang - the owner & his family is friendly and warm welcome. You can order meals here and you will get some very tasty traditional Vietnamese meals. Would love to be back for another weekend break.

Facilities are new and clean. Better have shelves in the bathroom for shampoo and shower gel bottles instead of putting it on the floor.

It was an amazing stay thanks to warm and welcoming hosts. Everything from cozy rooms to delicious meals was absolutely incredible. Those who would like to have a chance to explore the countryside, the mountains and lakes in the area, can rent a scooter or a bike at the property or just relax by the swimming pool or at the lounge area. The family who runs the homestay are just such lovely people! I hope I’ll have a chance to come back one day

Great family run homestay with several spacious and clean rooms around a small swimming pool, in a natural setting close to Van Long wetland nature resort. They make fantastic delicious Vietnamese food. And they always have cold beer! After dinner the owner sets up a campfire to roast corn and sweet potatoes, if you have kids you should bring marshmallows….. Overall this place is an amazing peaceful homestay that you definitely should visit!
