The location was spectacular. An incredible view. Outside our window we looked down at an inviting swimming area (right next to the water polo spot !!). And we enjoyed a lovely swim. Extremely clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Best of all was our warm and accommodating proprietor ! He is a wonderful man !! We would gladly return and will !!

This was a sensational Bed and Breakfast but the best bit was definitely the breakfast set up at the window with beautiful views out over the water.

Super clean, amazing view, the kindest host, and to top it off, excellent breakfast brought to your room each morning. Silvano was so welcoming it made our visit feel special. He even helped with us with our bags!

The room was small but immaculate and well appointed. Staff was exceptional. Breakfast was fabulous!

There was nothing I didn't like.

The window was at a perfect height to have breakfast, read or enjoy the view.

The only direct route to Conquer terre was by boat which takes 45 min or going to La Spezia by bus which takes 30 min.

The location of this property is incredible! As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and secure. Silvio was THE BEST- easy to communicate with before my arrival and he is well known by all the locals - highly respected and he makes THE BEST breakfast! I will 1000% be returning and spending more time in this lovely property!

Our stay at L'Ancora was our highlight of our trip to Cinque Terre — stunning views, gorgeous room, comfy beds, friendly welcome, luxurious shower, generous breakfast delivered in bed, incredible city and location

I just wish we'd stayed longer!

Silvano, our host, was absolutely wonderful and kind and accommodating. His warmth was lovely. We want to return!

I have worked in the hospitality business for over 20 years, and this was one of the best experiences that I have ever had. Silvano is nothing short of incredible. The hospitality made us feel as if we were part of his family. He welcomed us with open arms and truly cared for us as his guests. My 1 year old son fell in love with him. (And I think Silvano felt the same way) The facilities were beyond expectations, and the breakfast was INCRECDIBLE. As American tourists who were traveling with a one year old son, we unfortunately met the stereotype of people who travel with too much baggage. Silvano met us at the parking garage with an electric cart to transport all of our bags. This was above and beyond. Porto Venere is a hidden gem. One of our favorite places that we visited on our trip. I can't reccomend this place enough. Silvano, thank you for everything. We hope to come back again someday.
