L'Ancora

Every single thing about this property is exceptional. Silvano, the owner and host is so kind and conscientious. The rooms are clean and newly updated, breakfast was delicious, view was gorgeous, Portovenere is quaint and has wonderful restaurants and shops and sites. It’s the 6th village of Cinque Terra in my opinion

Only challenge is parking your car in the public garage under Hotel Portovenere. It’s tiny and hard to maneuver. Silvano will help you with it and your luggage.

Very nice location with close proximity to everything. Silvano and his wife were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and were very helpful with any practicality or question that we might have.

This accommodation is a small establishment in one of the older buildings in the historical town. We stayed in the room facing the walking street and the it was slightly noisy. For the next stay we would also book a room with a sea view. So if you can we would recommend doing that.

Room was very clean and comfortable to stay. Owner was so kind and lovely person. His Croissant in the breakfast was excellent！ He helped us to carry our luggages with a cart to bus station in the morning we left. Everything was perfect!

Everything! The room was spotless clean and it has everything you need. The location is great with the window looking out to beautiful sea view. Breakfast was exceptional -- tasty and plentiful, so much that we could not finish them. The location is also 10/10. It is situated along the main walking street of the town from which you can easily access all the attractions and good restaurants. Last but most importantly, Silvano (host) is THE BEST! He gave us all the necessary advices and recommendations and is very prompt with his response. There was really nothing that we didn't like about this place!

Nothing about L'Ancora really. If anything, this is more of heads up tbh, the parking exit/entrance are rather narrow and might be challenging for less experienced drivers or if you got big vehicle. But other than that, this hotel is awesome!

Gorgeous view, really friendly host, clean and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast brought to our room exactly when asked. Across the street from the best restaurant of our trip, Portivenere.

The room is on the smaller side. Works for a couple of nights but personally like more space if somewhere for longer.

A bit small

We spent 4 wonderful nights in Portovenere, where Silvano, our host, provided exceptional service from start to finish. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The place is spotless, with sea-view rooms and fantastic restaurants nearby that Silvano kindly recommended. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, served conveniently in our room while we enjoyed the sea view. The room was tidied up daily in a way we’ve never experienced, even in 5-star hotels. He also reserved a parking spot just a short walk away and helped with our luggage using his handy cart. Portovenere is a romantic, charming town, and this accommodation is a true hidden gem. Silvano's hospitality exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended!

Silvano was the BEST host. Helped us get to the parking garage, transported our luggage, greeted us with graciousness and smiles. The view from the room was beautiful and the breakfast delivered by Silvani was exceptional. The location was perfect, quiet and the bed was so comfortable!
