MG Cocomo Resort Vanuatu

The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was a trouble to them.

The TV was small and was in Chinese. I couldn't get it into English, it was late and I didn't want to call for help.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious (what we could order). The open hours for reception were really good to assist if we had any concerns at any hour of the morning or evening. Being close to the super market was definitely an advantage.

Kitchen didn't appear to be stocked up enough with the food that was offered on the menu. Each time we ate at the resort we had to change what we originally selected as they were always out of something. The resort also seemed to run out of alcohol frequently. The first 2 nights there we couldn't get any wine we could only select beer, which isn't suitable for someone who doesn't drink beer. There was also construction work going on at the time of our stay which we were not informed about.

We booked the beachfront vila and it was amazing we didn’t know what to expect but hole it definitely reach our standard at the the very best, only property to have a blanket, washing machine, dryer, cooking facilities, and not to mention the serenity from the deck.

There’s a supermarket 100meters away please go and stock up we didn’t get what we ordered and wanted from the restaurant, so we went to the supermarket our self and cooked our own food it’s shame as this could be more money for the property and a way for us to rest and wine down

Spacious room with airco. The hotel is on a great location next to a big supermarket and where you can easily catch a bus. Personnel is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plenty and tasty

Rooms are simple but need an update and some deep cleaning. The mattress was not that comfy

We booked the MG Cocomo for 1 night before flying home to Sydney. I'd be very upset if I had booked it for more than that! Was drawn to book by the photos advertised & free onsite parking. Location is central to a supermarket, and relatively Central to most things in PV. Reception staff were lovely on arrival. Security 24/7. Sadly nothing else nice to say.

Resort is extremely poor condition with renovations half done around the property that look like they have been sitting that way for months. There is temp fencing along the waterfront. The water is not able to be swam in at all, the pool area is tired & has rusty facilities. Free breakfast was offered however after witnessing the chef blow their nose into the pool area with just their hand on 2 occasions and due to the empty state of the restaurant we decided it was probably a good choice to eat elsewhere. Restaurant staff just sat around talking. Room was tidy, however Shower was filthy & mouldy, internet modem was hanging from the ceiling, fans didn't work. Air con is located in the kids room so they froze all night so we had to turn it on & off constantly. Latch on door didn't lock so had to hope no one opened it through the night. Crab holes all over the place, kids fell into constantly. Playground & Water park are all broken & dangerous. Was happy to checkout sadly.

Big shop next door was convenient. Staff were apologetic but you had to seek them out to get follow up. Spa was great but water mixer on shower broken.

No tv at all during stay. No eggs 6 out of 9 nights. We brought our own and gave to them. Served spaghetti bolognaise with heavily mouldy paremesan cheese. No tomatoes, not a lot of dishes available. Ordering food but receiving something different. Eg butter chicken, used white garlic sauce from night before and battered the chicken?? Breast chicken was advertised and prices reflected that but never received breast chicken once. When questioned you received a lovely smile. Oh the construction site in front of our room and no water view as advertised was a bonus.
