MG Cocomo Resort Vanuatu

The location was exactly the right place. Port Vila was a 30 min walk and only went twice. As not needed supermarket right next door and was nice and quiet.

The food was not great needed a little more atmosphere around the pool but in saying that we loved having the whole place to ourselves.

The staff were 100% awesome.

The facility needs an upgrade, although understanding its been through a few natural disasters. The kids play area especially needs renovations.

The room looked like the photos. Staff were good.

Massive garbage fire at the neighbouring property on the first night - probably 1-2 storey high flames with multiple loud explosion. Very toxic smoke throughout the property and room as a result. Apparently a regular occurrence. Safe on the ground filled with water with laptops and passports in it. Having a shower or a bath caused the entire bathroom to flood (strangely the water in the safe seemed to happen before the general bathroom flooding, so it seems like there is an across the board plumbing issue). Significant construction underway, the grounds do not look like the pictures- we stayed here approximately 10 years ago and the grounds were lovely but clearly seems to be going through a transitional phase. Left 1 night into a 4 night stay - no refund, but felt it was better to cut our losses and enjoy beautiful Vanuatu elsewhere

No hot water at night for a shower, not much atmosphere

This resort is beautiful. The view is spectacular and I could watch the locals fish for hours. The room itself was faultless. Everything you need is there. Washing machine, dryer, self contained kitchen (just no oven), microwave, kettle, stove top. The beds and pillows are so comfortable and the air conditioning is welcoming after a day in the sun. Everything was provided, shampoo body wash, fresh towels. Anything needed is provided by reception upon request.

There was a little maintenance happening outside my room, however the workers were locals and friendly and the time they began and finished was reasonable. The resort is a little out of town, so a bus is required for transit to other locations.

The appartment was overall good. However, next morning there was no light, therefore no hot water to take a shower Breakfast was good Convenient for a short stay in Port Vila

There was no hot water in the morning. Also there was no food after 19:30 so we had to buy instant noodles for dinner
