The proximity to town. You're right in the heart of downtown. The people / staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel decor has an old-time aesthetic and it feels like you're staying with your rich aunt..

The bed was a little too firm. I understand you can't please everyone!

It's convenient location and style of hotel very old and very cool! Staff was amazing and we did get a little activity. On Friday at 2:12 am there was whistling in the hall and felt and sounded like someone was right next our door. Thinking it was my friend.I got up went out there to join and no one was there. I waited in the sitting area as it felt someone was walking towards the staircase but no one ever came down. That feeling, that someone was walking towards the tip of the staircase, and then just stopped there.That's the feeling that I kept getting. On Saturday it was the smell of smoke and the whistling again. Totally haunted!

The bed was uncomfortable.

"Well worth the visit"

Authentic Victorian and very well decorated in correct style. This was the most genuine period hotel of the whole trip.

Trying to give full shower experience in a roll top tub does not work if you are large and tall!
