La Maison Boutique Hotel

Love the staff - all our hotel stays in Vietnam were memorable for the staff attitude. Cheerful, keen to help, professional.

Breakfast buffet was hit n miss. Cleanliness of the barr area and the breakfast area was not adequate. Showers! They jyst don't understand how go put together a robust, watertight, easily serviced, shower. The first room we had was on a floor with incredibly noisy locals- we were moved the next day. The second room, the shower door was faulty, and the water stop under the door didn't. The bathroom filled with water. This has been a constant issue with our hotels in Vietnam.

Ðung was brilliant and the highlight of our trip. He helped us in every way possible including recommending local joints and securing a bike.

The AC in the room wasn’t as cooling as we’d like it to be, the rooftop bar during the day.

Bar area dirty on the roof. Laundry overpriced by other hotel standards No hot water, cleaning of the bathroom was poor. Expensive for what it was, wouldn't return not sure what makes it "boutique" in its description.

We really enjoyed the stay. The room was clean, spacious, and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was decent and good enough. The view on the rooftop during breakfast was superb. The staff, especially the receptionist girl, was very hospitable, friendly and helpful and helped us arrange the cab with reasonable price to visit places around. We definitely will stay again at the hotel when coming back Cao Bằng.

None. Maybe the shower accessories are a bit hard to use. 1 day in our stay, the water was not so warm.

Clean, lovely room with a balcony - great place to base yourself to explore the area.

Coffee shop or spa didn’t seem to be open - but plenty around

The deco is really nice. We have a nice view from breakfast restaurant. The beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly. The lights can be either white or yellow.

The tap in the shower is very confusing and not at all convenient to use
