La Maison Boutique Hotel

The staff is really nice, enthousiastic and helpful! I asked them to arrange a cake and champaign for my husband's birthday, and they did. And more. They have decorated the room and made it a real sweet surprise! Also the guy at the reception informed us about some cool things in Cao Bang. They really like to work with guests. We loved it.

Not a large selection for breakfast but it was enough.

Room a fair size, as was the bathroom. Towels changed daily. Good location. Very helpful man on reception who spoke very good English and arranged transport and suggested tours.

The breakfast for us seemed like an afterthought at the hotel. It was served in the bar /rooftop area which is open to the elements and therefore baltic in the winter Both staff and guests dressed for outdoors whilst eating breakfast. Only hot food on offer was chicken noodle soup or eggs which didn't stay hot very long. The tea and coffee is served to you, and ours came after we had finished eating, so we made our own in the room and took it with us. Also had to sit on bar stools facing the open so not the best start to the day. Also not suitable for families with young children sitting on high bar stools, and everyone has to sit in a row. Might be much nicer hot weather but not in the winter months. Hot water temperature variable. No price list on mini bar or food items in the room.
