The Lark

Perfect location, clean comfortable and just what we needed.

Nothing, all perfect.

First, the flat was adorable. We chose it because we wanted to feel like we lived in York while enjoying the sites. This met all of our needs and more. Three grocery stores were a two minute walk away from the front door. The Shambles-a ten minute walk. Yorkminster-a fifteen minute walk. The wall a ten minute walk. It was nice visiting the sites and eating out, knowing we’d make a dinner and relax at the end of our adventures. I highly recommend The Lark to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay.

The decor, space, cleanliness and comfy beds where great.

The location is very handy for the town and train station (which is why we picked it). The downside is that it’s very noisy at night as on a main round and party central. Lots of sirens and drunk people sitting opposite the property outside the 24/7 Spar which felt quite unnerving - so the double door entrance was helpful. Probably a great location mid-week or if you’re there to party at night during the weekend. The terrestrial TV channels didn’t work properly (ghosting / intermittent) so had to watch via the apps.

Clean, fresh, contemporary so close to everything - the Italian restaurant next door👍

Loved everything

The property had a terrible sewage smell coming from both bathrooms, This smell filled both bedrooms. Which caused us to leave one day early. Also the car park is definitely not very close.

The space, decor and really comfy beds. The kitchen had everything we needed and immaculately clean.

It was tastefully decorated and furnished. Comfy large beds too..

Close to centre , warm cosy

Felt bit misled by how far away from car park , told 5 mins,, Was a good 10 mins walk plus , espically carrying bags and up hill , on way back, , and being old, once ther everything is easy access thou , Also to let the owners no that the hot water in main shower was very hot and we couldn't reduce , slight adjustment needed somewer

Location within walking distance of railway station and most attractions. Apartment was cosy, clean and spacious. Decor was tastefully done, with books dating from 1895 on bedside table. Bathroom and shower was clean and functional.

Although location is central, this also means it is close to pubs and restaurants where patrons can be a bit noisy over weekends. Lots of stairs to get to apartment, which did not hinder us but may be something to consider for some families with older members or young ones with lots of baggage.
