Yacht View Lodge

I needed a weekend out with my little family in the wilderness with a dam view, that was my main focus.

My next door checked in in the early hours and make some funny noise. Otherwise I liked everything.

The location and gardens are beautiful and one has a good view of the lake and boats. It seems family friendly as it has a playground for the kids and swimming pools. I had wifi.

The room that I was booked in didn't have facilities for hanging one's clothing. They can put up open shelving and rack for clothes. The bathroom and toilets are big but they could be improved to look more modern with more polished finish

Parking was not the easiest to drive into or out of. It wasn't the tidiest, cleanest or accessible accommodation to stay at. Shower and bathroom especially needs upgrading. Stairs going into the room was rather badly planned and put together.

The place is not clean

I enjoyed the view of the Dam, that was extremely refreshing.

Unfortunately, I was not entirely satisfied with the experience. The room was cramped and stuffy, the sheets were dirty, and the shower was unhygienic with no soap provided. I also noticed spider webs on the window. Additionally, I had requested an early check-in at 11:00 AM. I only received confirmation at 11:23 AM, and when I called at the gate, I was told to return at 2:00 PM. I hope this feedback helps improve the quality of service for future guests.
