Guesthouse itself was beautiful. Bed was very comfortable and location was great.

We had arranged to check in early as we were at the wedding but when we arrived nobody came to reception despite us being able to hear two people chatting...we called them on the "call for assistance" number and we could hear the phone ringing and ringing. We had to leave and come back mid-way through the wedding. Also the cleaner opened the door and went to come in at 0930 and apologised.

The room was nice and big, overlooking the large and well-maintained garden. Very peaceful! We had a triple room and our dog was able to stay with us which was great. The guys who run the place were super friendly and the wee bar was even open on one of the nights which was fab! Breakfast was continental with a good range of cereals, toast, pancakes, fruit, yogurts etc. The location is super for visiting Tollymore forest park - it's just at the end of the road and is walkable. We were visiting family in the campsite. Overall, a lovely, peaceful guest house and we would love to stay there again.

The matresses were rather hard. But these guys have just taken over and are renovating the place so I'm sure they will get around to that :) This is the only reason why we didn't give a 10.
