service was great, was very busy in the bar, private party going on too.

There was an issue with the lights in the room, was reported, didn't get sorted which was a shame.

Extremely noisy to the point there was no sleeping until after 2am.

It took a little searching to find it, but when I did I was very happy. The room was very clean and inviting. It's about a block and a half off the high street, so it was quiet and there is no street noise because the hotel fronts on a pedestrian plaza. Lots of food choices in the area; the hotel is right next to a pizza parlor.

I don't recall that there was anything I didn't like. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station but it's central to the High Street. Actually, the train station is a bit of a walk to anywhere. I didn't mind being able to stretch my legs, although in the rain, on this trip my ever constant companion, I would have appreciated not being soaking wet when I got on the train.
