The Market Hotel

Great location, friendly staff. Facilities were what you would expect for the cost, which was very reasonable.

I liked the central location of this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was close to town and had a lot of nice places to shop at close by. The room was clean, comfortable and a nice size. The shower had good pressure.

The noise from the hotel below went on a little later than I had anticipated, but once the place was closed, I enjoyed a good sleep. I didn’t realise that I would have to pay for car parking. I am not sure if I missed that information at the time of booking. A disposable shower cap in the shower would have been nice.

I liked the location and there was one woman who was very nice to me. Also, the room and bathroom are comfortable.

There was an event with loud music happening right in front of the hotel that day that went past midnight. I understand if they didn’t know before, but I would have appreciated the notice when they knew so I could make a decision about booking somewhere else. I was extremely sleep deprived from a long trip and couldn’t sleep until very late. In addition, besides the one woman who was solicitous, the rest of the staff seemed to be working against their will. Perhaps they were overwhelmed because of this event. Also, luggage storage seems to be an afterthought, though I do appreciate that there was something at all. They put my luggage and white coat in a room and when I went to pick it ip, my white coat was smudged. Anyways, maybe it was a bad stay because they were overwhelmed due to the event.

We like its central location and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It is easy to find, with a large public car park just behind it.
