"Good venue, sound value, great staff."

Excellent location - right in the centre of Alton. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good choice of restaurant food if you don't fancy going out elsewhere.

Nothing. Being above a pub and right in the town centre weekend evenings are not going to be quiet but trade that off against the atmosphere.

"The Market Hotel served us well in every respect."

The location was very convenient for our visit to Alton. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There is car parking just round the corner.

"OK for a one night stay"

Centrally situated, staff pleasant and helpful.

Only one large towel for a couple, light out in the bathroom, only coffee no tea bag’s. By the time we realised staff had all left. Noisy until about 1 am as we were right above the bar and it was a Karaoke night. Quite pricey for what it was given there are cheaper options in the town.
